Communication/Language Arts Standard Listening and Viewing Indicator 2 follow simple rules for conversations, e.g., taking turns.

Theater/Dramatic Arts: students will use theater as a means for creative self-expression and interpersonal communication.

Objectives:

The students will learn how to be a police officer.

Activities:

The students will dress up in police officer gear.  The students will use toy police cars.

 

Materials Needed:

 Police uniforms, handcuffs, 2 way radios, toy police cars, pretend siren

Assessment:

I will observe the students while they are acting out the police officer roles.  I will watch to see if they are sharing and doing what they are supposed to do.
