Objectives: |
The students will listen to directions to make a paper bag mail
carrier. The students will construct
a mail truck using geometric shapes. |
Activities: |
The students will color and cut out a mail carrier puppet. Glue the
puppet onto a brown lunch bag. Mail truck: The students will
create a mail truck using geometric shapes. |
Materials Needed: |
Puppet pattern for mail carrier, colors, scissors, glue, lunch bags,
various geometric shapes. |
Assessment: |
Assessment will be done at completion of projects. |

Extensions: |
Put on a puppet show. Color mail carrier pictures. Make a mailbag using 2 pieces of construction paper. Punch holes around the edges and let
children lace them with yarn. Cut the
yarn long enough to have some left to make a shoulder strap. Write “U.S. Mail” on one side and _____’s
Mail Bag on the other side. Sing: Mail Carrier Song (Tune My Bonnie lies Over the Ocean” I get to sort the mail, Then carry it to your home. The mail comes from all over,
