Objectives: |
The students will write the sentence “I am a firefighter using the
correct sentence structure. The students will draw a firefighter to go with the sentence. |
Anticipatory Set: |
Today we are going to talk about a special community helper, the
firefighter. Discuss what a
firefighter does. Read the story” I’m
a Firefighter” by Mary Packard. Then explain to the children the activities
that we will be doing at each center. |
Activities: |
The students will copy the sentence” I am a firefighter” on their white
half sheets of paper. The students will draw a firefighter at the top of the
paper. |
Materials Needed: |
White half sheets of typing paper, pencils, colors, chalk, blackboard |
Closure/Assessment: |
The teacher will check to make sure the students have written the
sentence correctly and help the children make any corrections. |
