Communication/Language Arts Writing: Indicator 1 Standard 1 write upper and lower case letters as appropriate.

Standard 3 use punctuations at the end of sentences.

Standard 4 begin sentences with capital letters.

Listening and Viewing: Indicator 1 Standard 1 follows various one and two step directions.

Objectives:

The students will write the sentence “I am a doctor” using the correct sentence structure.  The students will draw a doctor to go with the sentences

Activities:

The students will copy the sentence, “ I am a doctor” on their half sheets of paper.  The students will draw a doctor at the top of the paper.

Materials Needed:

White half sheets of typing paper, Pencils, colors, chalk, chalkboard

Assessment:

The teacher will check to make sure the students have written the sentence correctly and help the children make any corrections.
