Objectives:

The students will look at various books about doctors.

Activities:

The students will be looking at books in the Reading corner.  These books will be about the doctor and the hospital.  The students will discuss the various books with each other.

Materials Needed:

Doctor and hospital books, pillows, blankets

Assessment:

I will observe the students at the Reading corner.  I will verbally ask them about what they liked about their favorite book.

Ask the local doctor to come and read to the class. 

School nurse could come and read to the class.  She may explain the different tools a doctor uses and what they do.
